Family business down on the farm with Dallas Montgomery

Apr 21, 2022 By MPN

For this episode of Small Business Success Talk, we had the chance to sit down with our good friend Dallas Montgomery of Montgomery Farms. A family-owned business, it's a beautiful 40-acre outdoor venue located in Underwood Indiana and they do everything from corporate events to weddings. He got into his second calling as a chef and did that for 7 years until teaming up with his sister at Montgomery Farms. With his background in hospitality as a hotel chef, it just made sense! We got to hear what it's like to co-own a family business, what's slated for the future for Montgomery Farms, and much more enjoyable conversation with Dallas. Another great episode in the books and we know you'll enjoy it just as much as we did! BIO: Dallas R. Montgomery, the third Dallas in the family, started selling sweet corn out of the old Barn at the age of eleven before being tall enough to even see over the corn. After attending Purdue University he left the family business and was an executive chef for seven years in Indianapolis. After the conversion of Montgomery Farms into an event venue by sister Mandi, he moved back to Southern Indiana and joined forces once again with his sibling and is now a proud business owner with her.
