Changing Old Habits with Kee Kee Buckley,Leslie Marsh & Troy Sandidge #606

Share the goodness!

On this episode of GoalChat, host Debra Eckerling talks about Changing Old Habits – a nod to the movie “Groundhog Day,” rather than weather-predicting “purpose” of the holiday – with author Kee Kee Buckley, Seeking Shama; mind methodologist Leslie Marsh, and Troy Sandidge, Founder, Strategy Hackers®.

The trio shares their experiences with change – along with the aha moments that led to them. They also offer plenty of insights, inspiration, and motivation to help people deconstruct old patterns, identify what brings them joy, and start embracing change.

What is a habit?

– Kee Kee: Labeling yourself as one identity (career) even though it was not who you feel you are

– Troy: Something you do subconsciously. Once you are aware, it becomes a choice

– Leslie: A routine. Life is like a stream: the good habits keep you moving in flow, pebbles of doubt disturb flow, but it will smooth out again

Goals

– Leslie: We weave the cloth of our limitations. Catch the negative thoughts, and put them to the side

– Kee Kee: Take her sticky-note challenge. Fill in the blank: “I welcome _____” and place the sticky notes with the reminder around your home.

– Troy: Remember gratitude and laughter. If something bad happens, be grateful and laugh

Final Thoughts

– Leslie: Change is good! Go with it

– Troy: Remember who you are. List what you have achieved

– Kee Kee: Give yourself permission to be someone different from what you have always been … if that’s what you want
