Share the goodness!
On this week’s GoalChat, host Debra Eckerling talks about Winging It with Bobbie Carlton, Shaena Harrison, and Erin Keating. Bobbie is founder of Innovation Women, Shaena is a professional wingwoman – which inspired this topic, and Erin is founder of the Broad Collective. As you are speaking, building relationships, and showing up for yourself – and your business, the ability to “wing it” will serve you well.
The panel shares their takes on winging, networking, and so much more.
Define Winging It
– Shaena: Facilitating intros (“Have you met___?”), rolling with situations
– Bobbie: Extroverts are more likely to wing it on stage, as opposed to introverts
– Erin: Being prepared, and being willing and ready to pivot
Goals
– Erin: Rehearse – write an elevator pitch. hone your bullet points. Then, practice; lock your pitch to 1 minute and pitch it to 10 people
– Shaena: When you meet someone, after you start chatting, guess how many people you have in common on LinkedIn (Btw, I have 22 common connections with Erin, 44 with Shaena, and 334 with Bobbie)
– Bobbie: Introverts, get comfortable with public speaking
