Ever wondered what are some key habits of successful communicators? This episode of the Bridge To U podcast provides the blueprint that will make you an effective communicator and open you up to more impact.
In this week’s episode I take a look at what previous guests had to say and give you the communication success blueprint to experience more fulfillment, joy and impact in black communities.
The first habit is inspired by Okama Brook who appeared in the episode “Connect Without Causing Harm: Understand the Context.” Okama shows us that in order to have sustained connection and buy in with people who are different from you, you need to take time upfront. You must be willing to understand the culture and stories of others in order to connect without causing harm.
The second habit of successful communicators comes from Michael Fosburg who appeared in the episode “How to Have Meaningful Conversations Around Race & Identity. “
Michael tells us that when having conversations, especially about race, it can be messy and uncomfortable since we all have different experiences. With that in mind, there is no one way to communicate about it.
