HUB 527: AUTHOR PANEL – Dr. Chris L. Johnson, Dr. Cornelia Kawann, and Diana Concoff Morgan
A book launch can create lasting business opportunities when authors nurture the relationships built during the campaign. Chris L. Johnson, Cornelia Kawann, and Diana Concoff Morgan discuss how thoughtful follow-up, reader resources, and ongoing promotion can turn a book into deeper connections, speaking invitations, and business growth.
Share the goodness!
You built a launch team. People read your book, came to your launch party, posted reviews, shared your book, and spent several weeks engaging with you.
Then launch day passes.
What happens to all of those relationships?
This is where authors can miss one of the biggest business opportunities created by their launch.
Think about what just happened. Someone agreed to support your book.
They spent time reading your ideas and learning more about your work.
Maybe they attended an event with you or replied to one of your launch emails.
By the end of the launch, some of these people know much more about you than they did a few weeks earlier.
Don’t let those relationships disappear because the campaign is over.
That doesn’t mean immediately asking everyone to hire you. It means paying attention. Who engaged? Who asked questions? Who introduced you to someone? Who seemed especially interested in your work?
Those are people worth following up with personally.
Amazon reviews are one outcome of a successful launch. The conversations that happen because of your launch can be much more valuable to your business.
If you’d like help creating a launch strategy that generates reviews and creates a pipeline from your book to your business, schedule a complimentary 30-minute book launch brainstorming session at http://www.BookLaunchBrainstorm.com.
And now, let’s meet today’s panelists.

Dr. Cornelia Kawann wrote “Change Your Energy – Change Your Life,” a personal transformation book focused on understanding and changing your energy to create changes in your life.

Please join me in welcoming Chris, Cornelia, and Diana.
In this episode, we discuss the following:
🟠 Define the Ideal Reader: Each author wrote for a specific audience with a clear need, context, and next step.
🟠 Build the Book Ecosystem: Bonus resources, downloads, trainings, and offers can guide readers beyond the book.
🟠 Think Beyond the Sale: A book can create influence, opportunities, speaking invitations, and deeper business conversations.
🟠 Ask for Written Reviews: Reviews keep coming when authors make the request part of their ongoing follow-up.
🟠 Prepare for Review Barriers: International readers may need other ways to share feedback when Amazon reviews are blocked.
🟠 Relaunch with Fresh Energy: A focused promotion window can bring a book back into active conversation.
🟠 Share the Book in Person: Gifting or bringing books to events can create memorable connections with the right people.
🟠 Keep Showing up: Podcasts, summits, social media, and speaking help the book continue finding new readers.
