How To Turn Something Small Into A Major Income-

Tahlia shared that it doesn’t take having 100,000 followers to make profits.
It’s not about the quantity but more so about the quality.
Instead of just adding value, we need to think about how to become invaluable-becoming so valuable that people cannot ignore you.

How To Make Others Not Ignore You-

Focus on the professional passion of your audience.
Focus on the personal passion of your audience as well.
You need to couple the personal wants with personal needs.
People care when others care about them.

What To Do When Creating Your Email Subject Line-

Think beyond reverse engineering to find out what your audience needs.
You want to be sure that you are immediately focusing on that personal line or professional line; always keep it interesting.
The goal is to find a common ground and to solve professional needs.
Ensure that the content reflects what you are mentioning on the subject line.

Ditch Your Comfort Zone: Growth Through Authenticity, Transparency & Vulnerability

Are you ready to step outside your comfort zone? Are you ready to start dealing with your daily challenges head on? In this episode, we are joined by Todd Palmer to discuss how ditching your comfort zone leads to growth through authenticity, transparency and vulnerability.
Here are three reasons why you should listen to the full episode:

Discover how you can ditch your comfort zone as a leader or business owner to experience success.
Learn how to shift from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset.
Learn how to have those difficult conversations at work.

Episode Highlights
Ditching Your Comfort Zone-

Todd speaks about ditching his comfort zone and what he had to go through, being very introverted, not participating in conversations around peers.
Todd learned that sometimes you have to go out and approach others instead of waiting for them to come to you.
Todd also shared that avoiding difficult conversations at work or in your personal life does not allow for growth and development.

Having Difficult Conversations At Work-

As a leader, being able to have difficult conversations with your employees is an integral part of the success of your team and organization.
These conversations can be difficult mainly because of fear of failure. Transparency, authenticity, and vulnerability are crucial to change and growth amongst a team.
Managing difficult conversations helps us build and maintain healthy personal as well as work relationships.

Difficult Conversation About Growth Through Authenticity, Transparency & Vulnerability-

Todd shared that when a connection is missing from a team it allows for doubt amongst the team; doubt in that their leader is not concerned with the best interest of the team.
As a leader, whether you are the Team Lead or Manager you have to engage and connect with your team, in order to build a certain level of trust.
Todd shared that communication is important across all levels within a company.
Communication shows team members that you as leader care about your team.

Fixed Mindset; Not A Growth Mindset-

Fixed and growth are the two basic mindsets that shape our lives.
We become so sheltered in our comfort zones that instead of embracing challenges, we avoid them.
One of the main issues with having a fixed mindset versus a growth mindset is that we feel threatened by the success of others instead of finding lessons and inspiration in the success of others.

3 Powerful Quotes from This Episode
“Find joy in being of service to other people”

“If it doesn’t challenge you then it won’t change you”

Four Main Objectives For Financial Management
Build Maximum Wealth-

Most people believe the key to investing is finding better rates – you will need to take on more risks.
You will first need to create maximum efficiency with your money.
Grade yourself from 1-10 how you deal with cash flow, in your personal life and your business. Track your inflow and your outflow.

Wealth Transfers-
Here are some questions you need to consider:

How is your mortgage paid?
How do you find retirement plans?

Retirement plans defer taxes, more accurately they postpone the tax calculation.

Ask yourself the question, “Do I think that in the future will my taxes be higher, lower, or the same?”
How do you pay for major capital purposes(anything you can’t pay for in full with monthly cash flow)?
How will you fund college tuition?
You will need liquidity- looking for mass marketing things

Create A System That Will Transfer The Wealth That You Created

We want people to create legacies for generations to come.

Have A Plan That Works Under All Circumstances

You have to diversify your way of making money and value the market space.
You need to play defence – review your insurance, for example, life insurance.
As you’re working and saving, what is your ultimate goal?
The key is to focus on buying assets that you can control.

Episode Highlights
Who is Jeffrey Shaw?

Jeffrey shares that as a child he was extremely withdrawn, that he was afraid because at that time the world seemed like “this big scary place”.
He pointed out that he was the youngest of three boys who were the classic masculine with a domineering father figure and expressed how different he was from them.
He pointed out that while he had all those emotions, fears, and feeling misplaced, some part of him knew that he was “awesome”.
He expresses that we as humans are far more complex than we give ourselves credit for, but limit ourselves because of circumstances.
He also shares that there is no division between our business experiences and life experiences; they overlap and they both make us who we are.

What Is The Self-Employed Ecosystem?

Maintaining that balance between our personal lives, our inner and outer world. When people can do something with their lives they grow further. You already have everything you need inside yourself to be great.
Largely, the self-employed ecosystem is about who we are and personal development.
There are three essential components to being successful from being self-employed:

Personal Development
Business Strategies
Daily Habits and Mindsets

What the self-employed ecosystem does is that it creates the environment to make your success almost inevitable, and puts everything in place.
The goal is to control what you can and manage what you can.

What Does A Growth Mindset Look Like?

Jeffrey shares that from a personal development standpoint a growth mindset is all about unblocking, as we are trying to increase capacity.
When looking at the growth mindset daily habits perspective, they are less about unblocking and more about moving forward.
Jeffrey points out that he teaches his clients how to properly set their intentions as most people have not been taught a system on how to set intentions in their life in a way that really works.
He shares that he teaches intentions through a system called “From-To”, where you highlight where you wish to go from, to. This allows us to reduce vague intentions to have more clear set actionable intentions for ourselves.
