Getting Uncomfortable: Your True Path to Success

Mo Elkhamissy spent twenty years training to be a professional soccer player, only to find that his dream was not possible. Graduating college right as 9/11 struck, no one would even look at his CV because his name was Mohammed. Later on, he was given the opportunity to run a company generating over $1 billion in sales while his one-year-old daughter was diagnosed with an “incurable” form of cancer. Because of his path, MK views success as a means of helping others. He regards success and winning as a moral duty that enables people to help others. He believes that being humble makes you strong and that being strong makes you happy. MK’s accomplishments came despite the fact that he is an average person–which means that by following his advice anyone can achieve success.

“Quitting because you don’t want to be uncomfortable will prevent you from growing.” – Amy Morin

You probably already know that what lies between your ears has the greatest capacity to impact your life. Everything begins with a thought which manifests into attitudes and actions, with longstanding impact.

This week, The Entrepreneurial You podcast invites ***** to explore the power of positive thought.

Here is a snippet of what Mo shared:

“Having the right intent in why you’re building that business is awesome. I think that this whole idea of Entrepreneurship is fake. It’s fake insurance. Building a business that services your community and understanding supply and demand, like you’re a merchant a thousand years ago is the way forward. If whatever you’re doing right now doesn’t work and if the new economy, which is not hard to figure out doesn’t serve your business, just fail now, pivot and do something new and don’t look at it as a failure. No one is going to say anything about anything that failed in 2020.”

Amplifying Your Voice Amidst the Pandemic Noise

How do you stand out from the crow and allow your voice to be at one with your target audience? It definitely takes focus and intentionality.

This week, The Entrepreneurial You podcast invites Beck Power to talk about how we can amplify our voice amidst the pandemic.

Here is a snippet of what Beck shared:

“It doesn’t matter how great your content is if no one is seeing it. You have to be really consistent with how the content looks. It can’t be orange one day, blue the other and purple the next day (and different styles and things) because they won’t recognize it as still you. It has to look consistent and you have to post consistently. It used to be that we would see something seven times before we would want to buy it and now, (last year it was I think 16 or 17 times) and it’s probably more than 20 times  before we make the connection that we should buy it or want to buy it. Posting consistently really helps with that.”

Making the Leap From Traditional Employment to Entrepreneurship

Tra is a nationally recognized expert in entrepreneurship and business strategy. He is horrified by the significant decline of entrepreneurship in America, and he has made it his mission to rescue 1 million entrepreneurs from traditional employment. Tra’s new book, Boss Brain, reveals a scientifically-proven system that unlocks readers’ true potential and unleashes their entrepreneurial instincts so they can leave traditional employment forever. That’s the real American Dream!

The thought of venturing out from the security of a 9 to 5 can be daunting, seemingly disheartening and dismaying. BUT, it can be very rewarding and liberating once you are able to face the fear of the unknown.

This week, The Entrepreneurial You podcast invites Tra Williams to inspire and motivate you to make the leap from traditional employment and start a business of your own.

Here is a snippet of what Tra shared:

“The first of the four instincts in my book is belief. When you say ‘belief’, traditionally people think that of religion or faith, but belief happens all day every day in your lives. You believe that you should stop at a red light because if you do not, you get in a car accident. You go to work because you believe on Friday, you’ll get a paycheck. Every action that you take is a belief that it will result in some predictable result. The challenge for you to begin that process of unlearning how to be an employee and learning how to think and live like an entrepreneur requires that belief. But you can’t just wake up one morning and believe; you need evidence. What I say in the book and what I would say to everyone who’s trying to make this transition is, belief is reverse-engineered. You start by taking actions, even if deep down you’re still very apprehensive about the inevitability or the possibility of your success.”

Writing a book is the dream of many people. The process can seem daunting but with the right guidance, it doesn’t have to be. There are numerous benefits in getting published.

This week, The Entrepreneurial You podcast speaks with Cathryn Mora to share her expertise as a book coach, highlighting how a book can actually raise your profile and subsequently, your bottom line.

Here is a snippet of what Cathryn shared:

“When people come to me and they say I’ve started a book and I’m stuck. I can almost guarantee that every single time they haven’t thought about all the other stuff including the outline. They haven’t thought about how they’re going to use the book, they haven’t thought about what topics to bring to them (audience). They haven’t thought about their audience and they haven’t written an outline. Ninety-nine out of a hundred (that’s a made-up number) but ninety-nine out of a hundred times those things aren’t in place and you know a year into the book writing journey the person is stuck.”

Discernment is the ability to obtain sharp perceptions or to judge well (or the activity of so doing). Did you know that it has the potential to make you a better leader?

This week, The Entrepreneurial You podcast invites Jeff Dudan to talk about the ways in which discernment can augment your leadership game.

Here is a snippet of what Jeff shared:

“Discernment is a principled effective experience informed process for powerful decision-making and if you’re an athlete for example, and you want to be a better basketball player, you might say I’m going to work on my left-hand dribbles. I’m going to work on my rebounding or taking charges or my for I’m going to work on my rebounding or taking charges or my for whatever it is. You break the game down into its component pieces. And if it’s true that the quality of our decisions creates the quality of our lives and the success of our business then how do we intentionally work out to become a better decision maker? What are the things that we can acquire? What are the practices that we can engage in? What are the models of thought as we go through life and we accumulate things and have experiences. That’s how do we turn these into models of thought for powerful decision making in our life because our batting average overtime on our decisions just means all makes all the difference in the lives that we lead and the impact that we make in other people’s lives.”

Are you running a digital marketing agency or curious about running one?

This week, The Entrepreneurial You podcast invites  Xenia Muntean to talk about how to do so successfully.

Here is a snippet of what xenia shared:

“You can get a niche based on the platforms you are going to do the digital marketing on WordPress or if you’re a social media marketing agency. Are you going to do Instagram or are you going to do Twitter? If you focus yourself on a platform, you get the chance to better understand the nuances of just that 1 platform rather than trying to figure them all out. I think that’s really great in identifying a niche beside the depth of knowledge. It also gives you a competitive edge because you can get all the clients in that specific industry; It also makes onboarding so much easier because clients are so similar between each other. It also makes targeting in terms of sales easier because you have a clear persona. So I think that’s one of the things, identifying a niche and then obviously you have to establish your own digital presence.”

“So by choosing to micromanage and picking an item that you create tons of different products for that particular product and service that you’re selling. Are leaders born or are they made? This age-old debate will yield  different responses depending on which side of the fence you sit.

This week, The Entrepreneurial You podcast invites   Dave McKeown to talk about self-evolved leadership and what that means for your organization and team.

Here is a snippet of what   Dave shared:

“It’s that mindset of understanding that your ego is going to seek value from you being rewarded from knowing the answers organization isn’t helping your people grow and develop and see if you can make that mindset shift. It’ll get you half of the way there. Then there are a couple of practical things that you can do. The first thing is actually to recreate the vision for your team with your team involved in the process. So building the vision of where you want your team to be in three years time, but allowing them to have a much more significant input into it than they previously would have when you co-create a vision with your team a couple of great things happen. First of all, they’re much more bought into it and therefore you’re much more likely to achieve it. But secondly it really provides a Northstar for decision-making for the team or the group.”
