Rockstar CMO FM #27 The Green Room, Emil Kristensen, Robert Rose, and a Cocktail Episode

Share the goodness!

In this episode, Ian Truscott, Editor of Rockstar CMO, takes us into the Green Room, a regular series on Rockstar CMO, chats to Danish entrepreneur, podcaster, and founder of Sleeknote Emil Kristensen, and retires for the evening with a chat and a cocktail with Robert Rose.

This week’s dip into the virtual pages of Rockstar CMO features The Green Room. A regular series on Rockstar CMO where we return to some of the CMO’s we’ve interviewed in the Backstage Q&A Series and ask them for their opinion and advice on the topic for that month’s issue. This month the topic was the blurry line between our work and personal lives, especially on social and Ian shares the advice given by four CMO’s, David Howland, Christine Bailey, Wendy Bryant Beswick, and Ian Lowe.

This week’s interview is with Emil Kristensen, the CMO, and co-founder of Sleeknote: a company that helps e-commerce brands turn their website browsers into buyers without hurting the user experience. He also hosts a marketing podcast in his native Danish that has reached 2 million downloads called The Marketing Brief and, until recently, was an external university lecturer on email marketing. We discuss eCommerce, the forgotten art of good email marketing, and why so many great entrepreneurs and tech companies come out of the Nordics.

Finally, we are back in the virtual Rockstar CMO bar, where Robert Rose tries to guide Ian through making a new cocktail, and they return to the topic of the dependency marketing has on technology and the question – can you get an app for that?

Enjoy!
