Meta, X (formally known as Twitter) and now TikTok are all vying to be the one social network to rule them all.

Like WeChat in China they want to *be* the internet.

We think it’s a bad idea. But there’s a rumour that TikTok is about to ban links to external e-commerce sites like Amazon, they deny it but it would make sense if they want to be the ONE.
