HUB 528: AUTHOR PANEL – Paula Skaper and Sophie Lechner
A book launch can build relationships with prospects, referral partners, and colleagues while generating reviews and business opportunities. Authors Paula Skaper and Sophie Lechner join Robbie Samuels to discuss attracting clients naturally, reconnecting with your network, and using your book to open doors.
Share the goodness!
When you hear “book launch,” you probably think about marketing.
Emails. Social posts. Podcast interviews. Maybe some ads.
Those things can help people discover your book. But for an entrepreneurial author, I think there’s a much bigger opportunity.
Your book launch can be a relationship-building campaign.
Instead of asking, “How many people can I get to see my book?” ask, “Who do I want to spend more time with because of this book?”
That changes how you build your launch team.
You’re not simply looking for people willing to post a review. You’re inviting prospects, referral partners, colleagues, and other people in your network to spend several weeks getting to know your ideas and your work.
It also changes how you measure the launch. Of course I want you to get Amazon reviews. But I also want to know who you reconnected with, what conversations started, and what opportunities came out of those relationships.
Your book gives you a reason to reach out that isn’t a sales pitch. Don’t waste that opportunity by treating the launch as nothing more than a promotion.
If you’d like help creating a launch strategy that generates reviews and creates a pipeline from your book to your business, schedule a complimentary 30-minute book launch brainstorming session at http://www.BookLaunchBrainstorm.com.
And now, let’s meet today’s panelists.
Paula Skaper wrote “Rethink, Realign, Reinvent: How Bold Leaders Navigate Chaos to Build a Business that is Crisis-Proof and Future-Ready,” a guide for leaders who need to make smart decisions during uncertainty and build businesses that are better prepared for what comes next.
Sophie Lechner wrote “Unlock Your Impact: The Roadmap to Magnetic Client Attraction for Entrepreneurs Who Hate Marketing,” a guide for entrepreneurs who want to attract clients through relationships and a more natural approach to marketing.
Would you please leave an honest rating and review on Apple Podcast? They are extremely helpful, and I read each one. Thanks for the inspiration!
In this episode, we discuss the following:
🟠 Attract Clients Naturally: Relationship-based marketing gives entrepreneurs another path when self-promotion feels uncomfortable.
🟠 Start Marketing Earlier: Launch planning is easier before publication than after the book is already released.
🟠 Author Vulnerability: Publishing a book can feel more personal than launching a program or service.
🟠 Ask for Written Reviews: A strong launch team can help authors gather feedback, encouragement, and social proof.
🟠 Use Campaigns to Reconnect: A focused promotion window gives authors a reason to reach back out to their network.
🟠 Share the Spotlight: Author collaboration makes promotion feel more generous and less self-focused.
🟠 Let the Book Open Doors: Credibility, confidence, speaking opportunities, and new relationships can grow from being an author.
