Podcast Power: The Quick-Start Guide to Launching & Leveling-Up Your Brand

It is time for another episode. I am Heneka Watkis-Porter, the host and creator of The Entrepreneurial You podcast. Welcome back to my regular listeners and a special welcome to you if you are tuning in for the first time. Last week I spoke with a friend who left lots of inspiration with us. Tishauna shared her journey growing up in St Thomas and how she is blazing the trail… This week, I am going solo to talk about Podcast Power, but first, let me thank those who continue to support The Entrepreneurial You: The National Peoples Co-operative Bank of Jamaica Limited, Profit Jumpstarter, and The Jamaica Stock Exchange whose podcast, The Jamaica Stock Exchange & You, is hosted and produced by me. Do give it a listen as well.

Opening business Tip courtesy of the National PC Bank of Jamaica: Research your Competition – It’s important for you to do an analysis of your competition. You can’t be afraid to study and learn from your competitors. Do your research, you may find that there may be products and services you can offer your clients/customers that your competitors do not.

Here is a little bit of what I touched on in this solo episode as I look at how to come up with your podcast topic. Brainstorm to also identify all the things you were passionate about while you were growing up, to this point. Take your time and go way back. What do you like to talk about with friends and family? What do you like to do even if you are not getting paid for it? List all the things that excited you at one point or another. Make sure you have a clean sheet of paper to write them down. Next, turn to all the areas in which you are skilled. This is where you can ask those closest to you to help you. What do you often get asked to help with? After all, those closest to you can usually tell you without a doubt in what areas you shine.

Great Variety of Guests! Looking forward to more. Love all the different backgrounds and skill sets your guests to have! You do a great job interviewing them and definitely got my creative juices flowing. epamir, USA

Today’s Money Tip, brought to you by Profit Jumpstarter is Take Advantage of Dollar-Cost Averaging…

When leveraging the strategy of dollar-cost averaging you invest on a schedule and stick to it, regardless of market ups and downs. Staying committed over the long term and locking in your investments with automatic contributions means you will be able to better secure yourself against market declines and clearly see the opportunities to grow your money more.
