Ian’s flick through the virtual pages of the latest Rockstar CMO issue has him landing down the rabbit hole of Alice in Wonderland as Keith Smith, Managing Director of The Advertist, quotes Lewis Carrol as he explores the topic of this month’s issue.
If you’re a regular listener or reader of our publication, you’ll know that this month we covered the question of whether it’s better to build on rented land, pinning your content strategy on big tech and social media.
Keith is a regular contributor, bringing a pithy view of sales to each month’s topic. This month was no different, and Ian shares excerpts from his article Jam tomorrow and jam yesterday – but never jam today.
This week’s interview is with Christian Beer, CEO of Dynamicweb, a cloud-based Digital Experience Platform that combines Content Management, Digital Marketing, eCommerce, and Product Information Management. Christian co-founded Dynamicweb in Denmark in 1999. He is a data and marketing focused CEO and his vision and knowledge have been instrumental in turning Dynamicweb into a global player within this space.
In a fascinating discussion, they discuss Christian’s experience as a founder, starting the company to buy beer, managing the company during a pandemic, the trends in eCommerce today, and what he would chuck into the Rockstar CMO Swimming Pool.
Finally, Ian joins Robert Rose, Chief Trouble Maker, at The Content Advisory in the Rockstar CMO bar for a cocktail. Robert opens a wonderful bottle of Brunello di Montalcino, and they discuss dealing with change.
