The Who’s Driving the Bus, SEO Steve Wiideman, Cocktail for Change and a Parrot Episode
Share the goodness!
In my thought for the week, I ask who is driving your marketing bus? Is it a robot, your competitor, the marketing accountant, HIPPO, LOUDEST PERSON IN THE BUSINESS, a hamster, a people-pleaser, a squirrel, a strip club baller, the feature creature, the cookie-cutter, a shamen, the outsourcer or the customer? Or maybe none of them?
My guest this week is Steve Wiideman, of Wiideman Consulting Group, who considers himself a scientist and practitioner of local and e-commerce search engine optimization and paid search advertising.
For over 20 years, Steve and his team have worked with Fortune 500 companies and start-ups alike and have played a role in the inbound successes of brands that have included Disney, Linksys, Belkin, Honda, Skechers, Applebee’s, IHOP, Dole and others, with emphasis on strategy, planning and campaign oversight.
Steve has been mentioned and featured in a number of popular publication including: CNN Money, Entrepreneur Magazine, Marketing Sherpa, National Journal, Response Magazine, on CNBC and Fortune Magazine – and he presents at various conferences and tradeshows internationally, both virtually and in-person and is a frequent panelist at online marketing events and speaks at many California Meetup groups and networking events.
Really good conversation, I think you’ll like it and finally I retire to the Rockstar CMO virtual bar, to wind down for the weekend with a cocktail with my friend and content marketing guru Robert Rose and we discuss organizational change, a topic that is increasingly associated with content marketing. And, there’s a parrot.
